The UTA Office of Legal Affairs maintains a repository of all University policies and procedures. We collaborate with policy owners to develop, oversee, and maintain University policies and procedures.
UTA policies are governed by a policy on policies. See UTA Policy GA-LA-PO-04 The Handbook of Operating Policies. These policies align operations, set behavioral expectations, mitigate institutional risk, and communicate policy roles and responsibilities.
The purpose of this website is to inform students, faculty and staff regarding the policies which constitute its Handbook of Operating Policies (HOP) and procedures that apply to the entire campus community. All students, faculty, staff, affiliates and visitors to the University are governed by these policies and should be familiar with them. Policies and procedures in the HOP supersede and preempt any inconsistent departmental policies, procedures and guidelines not included in the HOP.
